Carolyn Rohrbach
Hospice spiritual counselor, spiritual director, death midwife, Anam Cara (soul friend), End-of-Life educator and author.
I have over a decade companioning individuals and families through the sacred terrain of dying. My work is rooted in the belief that facing mortality can be a sacred and healing part of the human experience.
Whether you are navigating your own loss, caring for someone at the end of life, or simply feeling the pull to explore what it means to live—and die—fully, I welcome you.
In my book, Glint of Light: 23 End-of-Life Stories, I share real encounters from the hospice bedside—moments of grace, grief, humor, and transformation. These stories invite readers into tender conversations about death and dying, and help illuminate the spiritual dimensions of letting go.

In Glint of Light author Carolyn Rohrbach offers readers a rare chance to witness death. In 23 short vignettes Carolyn recounts the painful, peaceful and traumatic ends of individuals she met through her work as a Hospice Spiritual Counselor. Her compassion and empathy are apparent in the way she chooses to describe these endings, even the brutal ones. There is nothing repetitive in these pieces, they are as individual as the lives the dying lived. For a book about death, this one is strangely uplifting, offering a sense of peace for readers by letting them in on the secret of dying. I will let readers discover that secret for themselves.
